overview
When window-washer Pierrepont Finch (Freshman Noah Detar) realizes that he is not satisfied with his current career, he decides that he is ready to set his feet on the path to the top of the corporate ladder. Using tips he picked up from reading the book How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, he starts his climb at the World Wide Wicket Company after a brief run-in with its president, J.B. Biggley (Sophomore Zach Blauvelt). Finch is helped along by Rosemary Pilkington (Junior Emily Fingar), a young woman whose greatest desire is to find herself a corporate bigwig with whom she can settle down, despite the protestations of her feisty best friend Smitty (Freshman Kailee McCormick). Throughout his journey, Finch crosses paths with a number of interesting corporate characters, including the personnel manager Mr. Bratt (Freshman Ryan Smith), Mr. Biggley’s entitled nephew Bud Frump (Junior Patrick Reagan) and intimidating secretary Miss Jones (Junior Sarah Wilder), the quintessential company man Mr. Twimble (Senior Nick Kinsey), and Hedy LaRue (Sophomore Natalie Colon), the World Wide Wicket Company’s newest bombshell secretary and a close personal friend of the boss. Finch’s climb provides a biting satire of the corporate world that is filled with laughs, music, and a touch of romance.
